Limited scholarships are available for several PhD students at Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia) in the field of theoretical quantum physics. Students will work with A/Prof. Alexei Gilchrist and Dr. Peter Rohde on topics including quantum computing, quantum information theory, quantum optics, quantum state and process tomography, and quantum random walks. The research will be part of the ARC Centre for Engineered Quantum Systems (http://equs.org). Applicants should have a degree in mathematics, physics or engineering and have a good understanding of mathematics and physics.
